DAN’S PRIME
Super Bowl Championship Texas Chili Recipe
- Sear 1 lb. ground beef
½ lb. ground pork
½ pound diced beef (about the size of finger nail)
- Drain fat. To the meat, in your pot, add one 34 OZ. jar of DAN’S PRIME QUICK DRAW CHILI FIXIN’S seasoning, about 2 cups of water or beer (to thickness preferred), one 8 oz . can of tomato sauce, ¼ cup of each of the following: diced celery, sweet onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper and a couple of diced tomatillos.
- Bring Chili to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender, stirring occasionally.
O P T I O N S
- If you like beans, about 30 minutes before it is ready, add a can of drained pinto beans.
- If you want your Chili hotter, add some chopped jalapenos about half way thru the cooking.
- If you prefer your Chili thicker and a corn masa flavor, mix about a tablespoon of masa flour with enough water for a pourable mixture and blend into pot about half way thru cooking.
